bodywork Q, rear arches

Post by ol bluey »

how difficult are these to remove and (presumably) weld new ones on?

also, are they a git to remove if you have no power, ie the van in the scrappers i was going to cut them off from?

Wouldn't put too much effort into getting them off if you don't have power. Think you can get brand new ones for about £30 from JK.

You cut them out - imle relace the whole side panel, it's not that expenseive from JK (there's were galvanised last time I saw them)or other suppliers and you then get rid of a couple of seams that will come back to haunt you otherwise.

cheers for that,
have been wondering if it was worth the hassle to change them as my van has previously had a thump before i had it but ive managed to knock most of it out as was deciding whether to reshape the panels properly with filler or replace them
