Anyone fitted a vacuum gauge?
Wondered where is best to 'tee' into, vac pipe near dist. or the one near throttle valve, it's on a 2.1 DJ, The pipe near the throttle flap has its hole near enough shut off by the flap when idling/throttle closed, so would that make it unsuitable to tee into? cheers for any advice!

Vacc Gauge
Whey Hey,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have one of these Pre-historic pieces of equipment ( complete with instructions).
I guess the best place to pick up a good vacc would be at the inlet manifold,,,,,,,,,,,If you know how to use one of these things it takes away any need for guessing or any incorrect diagnosis of a component.
Regards

VW manufactured a "Polo formel E" way back in the late 70s early 80s when I started out driving.
It had a built in vac guage (labeled 'economy') which enabled me to see just how badly I was doing
I think it only worked in 4th gear, which was a very long ratio, equivalent to 5th in most cars of the time.
