putting on a pop-top

Post by ermie571 »

Hi folks,

considering putting a full lenght pop-top on the velle (it has the factory fitted rnr bed, so seems like a good idea)

Think I may have sourced the roof, but before I go ahead and purchase, is there anyone out there who would come and help in the fitting??? Am prepared to drive to someone also, providing the van could be slept in if necessary!

What tools are required? (presume the tin opener is NOT required :D )
Do we need electric near the bus?? Coz where we live this is impossible to do and keep the van on the level. May be able to do it at the sister-in-laws, though.
How long to get the roof in a position where we could sleep in the van if we have to?

Is it really as easy as people say.....

looking forward to your replies

you can always use my land, if you get stuck!
I've got leccy, a jigsaw, tin opener, lovely neighbours, a hot tub, lots of tea and could always get one of my monkies to help!
oh and a very tall man lives round the corner, I'm sure he'd be up for some light entertainment!

My doctor asked if any members of my family suffered from insanity, I replied, Hell no, we all kinda enjoy it.

Camper - thanks very much contact has been made
Just got to find out how badly damaged the roof is, whether it is repairable or not etc

thanks for your help - could have saved me a packet depending on repair costs! :D
