HELP - Some kind of pump for the cooling system
I need help. Ive had some problems with the cooling system in my 1984 turbo diesel and have found out theres a pump thats leaking. theres a hose that comes from the oil filter cooler and goes into the pump and then a hose from the pump to the front of the van. Any ideas? I need the van for xmas!

you are lucky , I had to get one from Mr VW at a cost of £143!( some years ago)
It's never needed in our climate, so get a piece of pipe and bypass it.
If you go to a hot country just let it idle till engine cools, mine only came on when it had leaked and let the coolant out!, it then overheated .
(It does come on as a self test)

Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.
