No, this pic was before we left - Andy ot'road took it, doesn't miss much!

No prob really tonight, those pesky driveshaft bolts again... same layby we stopped at last April with my Doka (after spewing out another pint of oil)... always 20 miles from home as the sun is setting... nice full moon and lovely big red sun in the mirror tonight though 8)

Always always, use new spline bolts, proper VW lockwashers and same heads throughout on vehicle - seems theres a right hodgepodge of bolts on the DoDoka driveshafts, many rounded out - pooh at night when they come loose. 1/2 hour and a few choice words and off we went...

Did you set everything up as spec for a JX/PB/EV/2E engine it won't run right if you don't.

Sundown saw me with a 2lb club annoying the neighbores again... I call them neighbores as they neigh a lot !

Having managed to remove the AFM unit (already highly modified) from its resting place (where the mechanic who did the head-gasket last decided to leave it- as it wouldn't go back where someone else (nameless) decided it perhaps should )

I then found that he (the mechanic) was right - hence one or two 'areas' of sheet metal, namely highly structural welded flanges designed to cut the backs of your hands to ribbons and prevent PB/JX/2E/EU's from fitting properly - have now been 'adjusted'

That's why I'm rambling, I have that JX/PB/EU/2E tuned to perfection now.. one last resounding blow that shook the terrace, missed the flange and ...

that did it, perfict now - will never go again, bliss :P
