Hi ,

Looking at the chassisnumber this syncro is made july 1991. Batch M016018 till M020000 was made in july 1991


Cant seem to figure out what this S17 .....anyaone?

Yep, your very close. Found some paper work from Volkswagen dating the chassis number, September 1991.
Registed July 1992 in Austria.
