There are better value vans to be had sometimes, sometimes there's nothing about when you want to buy, be very certain of what you want and get that or as close as dammit cos it'll always cost more to get it there otherwise. Strange that it's had the interior changed.
I guess it was beigebrown with that exterior in a former life.

Wise Words
Listen to Aidan, get the best your cash can buy. Am spending lots trying to get a van up to where I want it and it really hurts.

1987 Cabbage Patch Westfalia & a 1989 ScoobyVelle Syncro (but not a proper offroader)

Ok, A few points on the Syncro that I am selling.
I would not describe it as rusty, that is a bit harsh to say about a van you may have not seen. I know that the previous owner offered it for sale & would have listed some of the faults.
I have had both cab steps profesionally welded as there was a hole under the rubber matt on both sides. There were 2 small plates on the front underside done too. I have fixed some of the annoying faults like the interior light & cigar lighter. I have fitted a CD player, refitted the correct Syncro only exhaust, rear cage & tow bar with electrics.
The van is in its original colour. The blue interior was removed some time ago & a camper interior was fitted. the previous owner removed this to renovate it, but in the mean time the brown seats were fitted so he could carry passengers.
Accoding to listed figures the SYNCRO Total Production - 43468 (of these 2108 were right hand drive models) So out of those 2108 there can't be that many left running about & even less for sale.
It does need a few bits sorting out but no more than any other 20 year old VW. I would re MOT the van if the full price was met. The longer I keep the van, the more I do to it. I have not increased the price to cover my parts or time either.
My price was based on the current market & availability of these vehicles. there are a few for sale if you know where to look.
I have explained any faults with the van to people that have enquired so not to waste their time.
It's sold now anyway...
