I have managed to replace all 4 glow plugs without removing the fuel pump or fuel lines.
It did take a while I'll admit and would have been easier if I had long thin piano players fingers.
I was able to get an 8mm open ended spanner on the bus bar nuts
and a 12mm open end on the plugs, save for the forwardmost one which I managed to get a deep socket on.
I also replaced the 7 pin glowplug relay as when I bought the vehicle I was told not to wait for the glowplug light to go out "just count to 9", it always seemed to start 3rd go.
Since the cold and damp weather I have had a couple of failure to launch days.
So it was especially pleasing this afternoon at 4pm when after carrying out the work I was rewarded with a glow plug light that went out after a count of ten and an engine that roared into life at the first flick of the key.
