Yep. Two pubs in appletreewick or walk to burnsall (to the right) along the river warfe which runs right by the end of the site or bolton abbey (to the left)

Burnsall has a very nice pub and a cafe that does homemade chip butties

But all miles away from Harrogate! If you're feeling brave you can park up on Stray Rein - which is a really quiet road through the middle of our Stray. (I say brave cause in this wind you'd have to be - bit exposed!). There is a Caravan club site at the Yorkshire show ground (and you can get a free bus from Sainsbury's next door into town - about 1.5 miles). If you're prepared to have a meal in the pub, then the Traveller's Rest at Crimple (again about 1.5 miles) might put you up in their car park - very quiet. There are lots of other sleepy spots if you're only going to be there for one night - pm me if you need details. When are you going to be here and for how long?

Use this map search

http://www.ukcampsites.co.uk/sites/calcdist.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Zoom in to harrogate then double click on harrogate and it will show you the locations of campsites in the area

Well I was up there last weekend seeing some mates, but thought it would be nice to take the kids to visit next time, they live on Valley rd and was hoping there was somewhere near as the kids would love the park

There's a spot at the side of the road just at the top of the Valley Gardens - Harlow Moor Road. It's a roadside car park - just rough ground really - but should be OK for a night or two. If you go on Google earth and find Harlow Moor Road, follow it down to Cornwall Road and it's just on the left hand side.
