Arrived in South Lakes yesterday, no snow on main roads but side roads have a good covering.
Temp dropped to -12.4 outside last night but hovered around the 20s in the van

Just started snowing again!

My drive is very steep so I have little chance of getting out. Probably stay in next the the log fire.

Hmmm - that doesn't sound to good. Mind you how is the road from Lyndhurst to Christchurch? Cos thats the way we would be going.[/quote]

There been a few bad accidents last couple of days most people avoid lyndhurst due to the hill if you stay on the main roads only you should be fine soon as you come off them not so good alot of cars have been abandoned

If you come down hope you have a good time

Hit -10 last night, meant to be colder tonight

I chickened out! plan was Rannoch Moor in Highlands, as its great for pics in the snow...so i just jumped up in the car during the day as it was lovely and sunny. Kinda glad i didnt go as car was showing it as -13c at 12noon - i would hate to think what it would be at night as im too hardcore for any of these softy southern heater thingies. Maybe next week...
