Camping this weekend?

Post by ninja.turtle007 »

We are considering going to the coast on Saturday for the night dependant on how bad the roads are.

Anyone else going away in this weather?

We are thinking of heading to Setthorns in the New Forest on Sat (if the weather doesn't do its worst).

Hardcore or mad. Maybe a bit of both. My van is staying where it is until this bad weather and the salt has dissipated from the road. Good luck.

Police issued a warning to motorists not to make unnecessary journeys.

Mind you as long as you take care, go out and enjoy yourselves I say.

Just jealous that I have not got an Eber or Propex
Mind you, I heard Propex freezes below 0 degrees does it ? - not a good idea for heating if it does

It's the gas that freezes, not the Propex unit; and that only really applies to butane (blue bottle) like the 907. Actually, it doesn't 'freeze' as such, it just can't evaporate below a certain temperature (which I can't be ar$ed to google). I've had it happen to me, but I just used the van cab heater to warm the gas bottle, reconnected it and then the propex fired up. Just left the bottle in the living area afterwards and it sort of kept itself 'warm'.
