Help me choose where to go next weekend
Hi Guys,
Need a bit of help if you please. We are looking to go on our first camping trip of the year next weekend and need some ideas of where to go?
There are a few criteria:-
We are based in County Durham and happy to travel a few hours
Need a campsite that takes Dogs
need something to do in the day
need a dog friendly pub fro the evening.
Any ideas will be greatly received!!!
Cheers

Re: Help me choose where to go next weekend
OK Guys
I might have managed to find a place
Waren Mill
Bamburgh
Northumberland
Thanks for the recommendations anyway james!
Now you guys could help me figure out what i need to take for 2 nights!
Food,
Booze
Bedding
Toilitries
Cloths
Anything else you guys take? I'm slightly nervous if you cant tell!
Cheers again (I know this is the most pointless thread ever )

@ StewnJo - Good idea I would have been in the dog house if I had not taken them!
Anyway guys there has been a disaster in as much as my chosen camp site is fully booked! So I'm back on the market for another camp site somewhere around within a few hours of Durham!
Cheers!

Re: Help me choose where to go next weekend
Have you tried ukcampsite.co.uk, we use that alot for ideas and find the reviews from real campers useful.
And there's also the funplace2be site specifically for T25 owners on the top of this forum!
Good luck on your trip!

Re: Help me choose where to go next weekend
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the suggestions! Tried both sites and they are very good, Its just the wrong time of year I guess - I'm sad to say that this weekend may be a no go as it looks like every campsite in England is booked up or a club site that will not take 'non members'
May have to try wild camping!

Re: Help me choose where to go next weekend
as james said, go to the rtth show in derbyshire for saturday day/night then come along to the shirebrook afterparty sunday afternoon/night.
you will definately get into both venues and on the monday you could explore sherwood forest before going home.
it will cost you the princely sum of ten quid for the show i think and 3 quid for the overnighter at shirebrook.
