tailgate info please.
i know the jk bike racks are sturdy and a little heavy but should the tailgate stay open with it on the back?if not are there some stronger struts people use or is it because one of my old ones are worn?im getting a bit fed up with the broom handle and its only a matter of time before i knock it and knock myself out getting the pram out of the back.

the copper pipe is soooo easy to do, and will keep the tailgate up when the bikes are on that rack.....
22mm copper pipe ( doesnt have to be copper, but its easiest to get)
cut it the same length as the thickest part of the tailgater strut( the black bit) then cut a couple of indents in the ends of the copper pipe at the end and slide the pipe over the strut then when you lift the tail gate slide the pipe own over the thi bit of the strut and lock the indent to stop the strut shortening.
