White Mark Farm - great - then the accident

The sun is back again, so I'm off to my favourite local campsite in Oxfordshire for the weekend. Gonna take some chicken to feed the Red Kites and spend the rest of time brushing up on my French ready for the Summer hols. I'm going to take the A40 as it is such a quiet road compared to the M40 running in parallel. I love driving on the A and B roads. Usually a steady 50 mph and better mpg.
:ok

I had a brilliant time at the campsite. Met another westie T3, a westie T2, three T2 bays and a splittie. I forgot it was the Stonor Park weekend, which is just a few miles away. Now the downside. I was stopped in a row of traffic two minutes from home and a woman driving a mini cooper shunted a merc into my rear end. I think I got off not too bad. Some rear end damage but I think it isn't too bad. I need to check it out. The guy in the merc hit is head which might be a problem, but overall we are all in one piece thank goodness. Amazingly for London everybody seems to be insured. The woman said she just didn't brake in time!

They say most accidents happen within half a mile of home and that happened to me. I was upset. I have spent so much money and time getting my van to look so nice and this happens. I will get it back to looking it's best again.
:ok

Sorry to hear that Ralf, that's not good at all - hopefully the guy in the Merc is ok and your pride and joy isn't too badly damaged. I like your positive view, you will get it back to looking its best again yes :ok

Sad end to a lovely weekend, but good that everyone was ok, and insured. Hope the damage is negligible and instantly fixable.

Cheers guys. I spoke to Adrian Flux this morning. They are happy under the circumstances of the accident and will be collecting the costs of repairs, hire car and transportation of my van to the coachbuilders etc from 'Sheilas Wheels' - (good old Sheilas Wheels eh!) the insurer of the person who caused the accident. I also spoke to the coachbuilder too. He assures me that my rear bumber is made of fibreglass and not steel so should be easy to sort out if that is all that is damaged. I hope so.

Also on the plus point, our lottery ticket at work had a small payout this week. Not a lot, but enough to pay for my QPR season ticket this year.
:)
