Yes about 5 years ago. We had it to ourselves during a may midweek. Nice and peaceful. iirc two toilet with a shower in each. Lovely walk to Thors cave and down to wetton mill from the village. Pub was fine but we only drank in there once

Just noticed on ukcampsites.co.uk that the campsite has closed :(

Please note that we have now closed the campsite.

The nearest campsite is Newhouse Farm, Wetton on 01335 310204.

Hulme end is nice (choice of 2 sites)...1 to the side of the pub, 1 to the back of the pub.

nice steady cycle ride (45 mins) into wetton Café. or 2 hour stroll....along the track.

Its a nice cycle on the manifold trail from hulme end but what about the other site in wetton?

A lovely campsite that manages to feel isolated whilst being right in the village. Our kind of place; nothing complicated, just a field to pitch our tent, water to drink and an outside toilet. Church bells do ring all night so don't stay if this is going to bother you. The village pub, Ye Olde Royal Oak, serves good food with excellent service. Great location from which to explore the River Manifold, Thor's Cave and Wetton Mill.
