first road trip in europe

just booked our first road trip abroad me the wife and two kids leaving on the 11th of august. dover to calais first stop at a camping site near cheverny ,then onto another campsite near millau ,then travelling to spain and staying for 7 nights in vilanova which is about 30 miles from barcelona. any tips or advice would be appreciated for the first time travellers

We did 2 trips round France with the 2 kids , always makes me smile thinking of it .great time .I'm sure you'll have a fab time too. 8)

Are you only staying on campsites or will you 'wild camp' too?

only on campsites as we are on our own would probably wild camp if there was more vans.

The aires are great and if you're sensible very safe. Many of us use them every year to pad out our holidays with free nights. Also do a search for France Passion as well.
