Monk Farm, Bagby, Thirsk. Nth yorks

Post by meggles »

After leaving the Newby Whiske meet I wanted to give my 2 grandsons a bit of an extra treat for behaving themselves for all (or most) of the weekend. I decided to pop into Monk Farm. If you google it you might get the details.
I thought that £14:50 was a bit expensive for one adult and two children. But there was a lot to do and see so maybe not.
They enjoyed feeding the lambs, watching some of the animals doing what comes naturally (how do wallaby's do it?), and then being followed by the ducks around the small lake. So many different animals. Lots of playground type entertainment. I reckon if you take your time and want to do and see everything you could spend a whole day there. I don't think it would be too good in wet weather though.
Just thought some folk may appreciate the tip off. (Hope it's not already been mentioned on here). Not sure where nearest campsite is though.

20p for a handful of food for the goats. The "tower" gives a great view over the enclosure.
