That will keep you busy for a while! :shock:

Do you know what hit the pillar in front of the sliding door? That will have taken some force to do that to it I would have thought.

I should be finished all the welding and have it sprayed by the end of April, and I was told it accidently hit a metal post while turning right.

After you turn the roof over, and mask up the new canvas your ready for prep and spraying.

Image

Its a good idea to spray the front roofcap/roofrack section at the same time

Its now time to strip the rest of the van down, including removing all the rockwall from behind all the interior panels:its highly flammable if your welding}
then mask up the inside of the van including the roof lining

Then start cutting

Offside rear arch, and rear of window rear frame welded ready to be trimed down, and the bottom edge of the same window has also had some work.

Ooops! :oops:

I just noticed in your pics showing the front arch that you have positioned the top lip of the new panel under the original panel. I recently (2 weeks ago!) replaced my front arch but I did it the other way, with the original edge under the lip of the new arch. I did this reckoning that it would be easier to get a decent looking lip after the weld was ground down and a wee bit of filler applied rather than trying to grind/shape the actual edge that is visable when the door is shut.

You obviously do this for a living so is there anything wrong with the way I did it?

Be as brutal as you like. :lol:
