CUSTOM EXHAUST?

Hi people

i have 1990 t3 panel van 1.6 td....

im going to replace the exhaust... i was wondering is it possible to replace with a custom exhaust.

not expecting performance increase....just a meaner look and sound hopefully... can this be done on diesel?

Got a tdi in mine, but same manifold, I just cut the pipe where the bend staightens out and put a small bit of pipe and tail pipe (no box) on. Bit more noise, but not too loud (turbo takes alot of the sound away).

Any thing can be made if you can weld !!! I made m own for my scooby conversion and its straight through a tad loud!!
