Anyone with Porsche seats?

Post by holy-mojo »

I currently have BMW 330CI alcantara seats fitted in my T25 which are great apart from they are a couple of inches higher than the original VW seats. End result is it has put my steering wheel directly in the line of sight with the top half of my instrument binnacle. I've been looking at changing to Porsche seats but thought it would be worth asking here first before splashing out the cash. How do they compare with the original seats in terms of height and what model Porsche seats have you used?

For info, the BMW seats are fairly easy to fit, with the addition of a piece of angle iron to fitted to the side of the battery box to compensate for the wider "track" of the BMW runners.

Why don't ya change the steering wheel to a smaller one. Prob loads cheaper than getting new seats.

I've already got a smaller Momo wheel which I think was factory fitted to some T25s - any smaller and I would definitely need PAS, which I'm getting as soon as RJES has his kit available. Aesthetically, I also wouldn't want to go much smaller. I would have to go back to the original big diameter plasticy thing to get 100% visibility of the instruments.
