Just a few Mods

Post by welsh dragon 81 »

I had my seats back at last from the trimmers , he's done a brilliant job. the syncro's getting closer to being finished at last. I bought it for £900 about five years ago as a batterd and dented white van. Yes it's been the usual expensive journey, piston went on the dj, then the gearbox. I thought a double seat would be better up front for when the little one arrives next month. I did put the original wheels back on yesterday but there coming back off this weekend they look c**p! here's a few pictures.

i'm pleased with the colour even though it was my second choice nobody would spray it black (suprise!), i admit i try and get it dirty by going through the mud i think it looks better all up the sides, most people dont expect it.

hi there

just wondering what the wheels and tyres (size) are that your using? and if you have any problems off road? with them rubbing the arches?

looks awsome though well done.

the colour is the same as the range rover sport i picked the colour before bying the van, i used to be in belmont, surrey a lot my mate lived there.i bought the van from vw airfix for 900 with full mot what a bargain. at the moment the wheels are 16 inch and yes they hit the arches now and again but i still have the 14 inch steels aswell. anybody know if the golf mk4 steels fit 15 inch 38et, i know of a set sitting in the garage.

i'm tempted to sell mine next year after the trip to germany, might get something with windows for the little one, was going to put them in this van but was a shame to cut a good van up. if i do sell it my plan is a syncro pick up and 2wd van. will have to wait and see, it's nice having something different to the norm though isn't it, everybody else is lowering their vans.
