Yep - our friends in the US so badly want cupholders, nothing will stop them innovating!!!
Quite a neat solution but could do with finishing off!

Any spills would help lubricate the shifter!
Looking more closely - the carpet bit is part of the cupholder so it is like a bridge over the autoshifter box.
