SS exhaust and heat take off to air box?

running a 1.9 dg and the oldexhaust has two heat take off's that goto the air box do ss systems have these and are they really neceesery?

Some have them, some don't. The problem with not having them if the engine was designed with them, is carb icing. They are there to keep the carb warm with exhaust gasses which pass from one side to the other. Without the extra warmth the carbs can ice up.

Cheers that was my conconcern still can be hard to make a blt on take off ?

get rid of the whole lot.

no cold start chokes, no heated manifolds, no heated intakes, more power better responce luvverly sound.
dellorto 40s with speedshop pipe, matched length manifolds. :mrgreen:

mmm bit more than that, then there was the new engine, rebuilt gearbox, new linkages, full avo sus, lots of new bushes, slaves, pipes, pads, the list goes on :lol: i love it though, its worth every penny.

i have a pair of twin 40 dells knocking about would they go on my 1.9dg? if so where can i get manifolds and likage?????? need to know!!! :D :D
