Hello just a quick query, will any 1Y engine fit in a T25?? I looking at a 1Y with 1.9 d/td stamped on the head but it seems to have a lot of wiring going on and seems like it might need an ECU it also looks like it might have an immobiliser on it. I'm not massively experienced with mechanics and really just wanted to know if any 1Y code engine will fit okay?
Any help will be much appreciated

1y engine is mechanicaly oparated by throttle cable& they have a black plastic immobiliser near the fuel pump could be confussed for needing a ECU..This is what you need to do( break it apart ) yes that is correct.Done this myself and others have you can then wire up the the ignition solonoid fuel cut off valve.
