KEP are good, but best to phone them rather then email, and try to catch them, mid morning or mid afternoon their time, they 'take lunch' and work the old way, paper, post, not too email or attachment savvy..
.... but efficient all the same. Sandrail specialists, hence the VW/Subaru connection.
None of the regular VW upgrades should need much more than the std clutch, they're not known to give a lot of trouble, unless flywheel shagged anyway (blued/wavy) or mucho oilio got in there. Juddering a bit in 1st/reverse is more like the problem. New VW clutch should work well.
2.2 EJ22 subie doesn't normally need one either, but above that, yes maybe...

Having spoken to them and Smallcar I'd talk to Smallcar about Syncro Subaru upgrades any day of the week - seem far more savvy and sorted. They don't have the range of conversion bits that KEP have, but they do the one I'm interested in and do it well..... except the bellhousing, which is best sourced closer to home, rather than dicking about with cruddy adaptor plates etc.
Diamond Hell
Still Syncro, just much fasterer

A lot of Smallcar bits originally came from KEP, some still do... Mr Kennedy is mainly into Sandrails, and making flywheels and plates to adapt almost anything to anything - and likes an early start, a set tea break and a proper lunch... and I bet it's stood him in good stead.
Brian is much more your businessman focused on complete conversion kits and superb in-house work - and blazing new trails (but the H-6 conversion had to go elsewhere to get its cooling sorted !)
