What type of engines will fit into a T25 1600 air-cooled without an adaptor plate. :ok

without an adaptor plate to your exsisting gearbox? or what will fit with what box?

2.0 cu air cooled.
otherwise it's going from air to water cooled thats going to be the main cost. If you want to go that way, then diesel bell housing and 2.0ltr 8v agg/aac from mk3 golf gti.

dont go 2.0 unless you change the gearbox as well!

the 1.6 box is low geared and wont gain you much unless you fit the 2.0 box


i know , i have just fitted a 2.0 box to a 2.0 engined 1.6 van!
