Change of engine?

Hello everyone,
could be needing a new(to my van any way) engine for my 1985 T25, looking for advice on what to fit, where to buy Etc. 1.6Td fitted at moment, But lots of oil in water, Any advice.

try the alternative engines forum..
or look in the wiki ^^^^ up there and you'll see some suggestions as well

Diesel you say?

You could always try changing the cylinder head gasket!

It's a bit cheaper than an engine by about £700 :wink:

Hi there did you flush the coolant system after the oil cooler change? as i am still finding oil in the water 6 mths after doing mine, are you losing oil? and is the engine running ok and not overheating?.................

hi,

Garage supposed to have done it. It's not overheating but is still using oil. Have been informed that oil cooler might be faulty (common problem apparently).
Now need to bypass oil cooler,( by connecting pipes straight through?). Clean it out, Run for a couple of days and if cooler has oil in it it is faulty.
