Golf 1.6d to 1Y

Post by davidah »

Hi

I currently have a 1.6d from a mk2 Golf in my van. It has lost compression and needs to be replaced. I want to replace it with a 1Y.

Has anyone any experience of a conversion like this? Do you know of any difficulties?

Thanks

if you have the jx then ..if it were me...id be looking at installing an aaz
have a look here http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... ds/aaz.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the spigot bearing goes in the end of the crank of the new engine
