Thanks Aidan
I see you do gearbox rebuilds, I was toying with the idea of getting a box with a taller final drive.
The ALD in my van is 5.5 so 65mph at around 4000rpm.
Is it possible to just change the final drive in this box to improve cruising speed??

yes no problem - but may be cheaper and easier just to fit a 1.9 petrol gearbox - I've just stripped an excellent 4.83 fd 4 speed core box , to rebuild for sale. Depending on the engine I could slip a slightly longer fourth gear in. Call me before Wednesday if interested otherwise I'll be building it as standard
