Suburu diesel boxer conversion!

Post by chiz »

This may have been discussed already but I could not find it. Does anybody know if his conversion can be done?
It has come up in a few threads but nobody has said ant more than suggested it as an option. With the increasing cost of fuel I think this may be a good option against LPG for my 2.1 stock engine.

Any thoughts?

There was one thread (maybe on Samba but i cant remember) where a guy had bought a brand new diesel boxer engine and was sticking it in his van. Not seen anything of it since but it was very intruiging.

Think it was HarryMan that posted a link to it....

Search samba for "Pastis, the ultimate subaru diesel vanagon" or something like that.

It's the EE20 engine btw.

I found an informative thread at http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... on&start=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As you read through it, it gets quite complicated and then RJ engineering inStaffordshire just make it sound so easy.

We'll see.
