I haven't had chance to look at them today yet. I'm off out to work in a couple of hours so I likely wont do much before tomorrow now. Turn your eyes to the Land of my Fathers about 4pm tomorrow afternoon, and check for a pall of smoke  :rofl

Aren't they just!! So much help for me, and doubtless others too, in just this one thread. And I've found so much other stuff in other threads I've found over the last two and a half years. I've got a DK box here waiting to go into mine - I'd never have attempted to do that swap even a year ago, but the golden nuggets of gen on here kinda help you along don't they?

But I think I'll get Oktoberfest out of the way first lol

there must be a fair bit of jiggery pokery with a dk.i was at the caddyshack a few weeks ago and was chatting with andy about a dk box he had there.the position of the selector is in a different place to the std diesels as its from an Aircooled also the mount at the rear(which is the front end of the van) is in a different position too...id be interested to see a write up mate when you do it :ok

I'll let you know how I get on. Mine is a very early diesel though, 1981, and uses a lot of Aircooled parts. Seemingly, the DK will slot in with a minimum of fuss - we shall see!! I'll be sure to take plenty of photos, and Aidan has already given me plenty of advice :ok

Just a quickie to keep you boys up to date - swapped/cut/earthed the wiring and we're still getting glow-plugs on for 51 seconds!! I am now drowning my sorrows and confidently predict that I will be sleeping on the sofa as Mrs P wont let me anywhere near the bed lol

I'll have another look tomorrow :ok

Okay Wellie, will do :)

I've also found another blue/white wire in the engine bay, connected to a sensor on the oil cooler. There's more blue and white wiring in my van than I've ever seen!!

I'll be back with a photo shortly.....
