filling up the coolant system on a 1y

Post by campercrazy1 »

hi everyone-looking through the wiki at filling/bleeding the cooling system, it says the process is different for diesel and petrol engines because of the pipe work.

well now have a diesel engine with diesel pipework in the engine bay, but everything else (rad and long plastic pipes+ the connecting pipes at either end) are the orignal petrol ones.

which one should if follow- do i still need to jack up the front of the van?

thanks

Just fill the one in the engine bay to the brim the start her up and keep filling till the engine gets hot enouh for the thermostat to open and theres no more bubbles.take it for a short run and check when you get back
the word 'pissing' is safe
