I'm thinking of fitting an oil cooler after my latest overheating catastrophe.
I now have an engine which seems really sound. I know that an oil cooler can be mounted at the front or to one side of the engine. If the latter does it matter whether the inlet and returns on the oil cooler 'radiator'are at the top or the bottom?
If at the bottom would oil drain back down to the sump and make getting the oil level correct really tricky. Just wondering what others have found.
Cheers.

Re: AAZ oil cooler
my oil cooler (mocal) has the input and out put both on the bottom, dose not matter which way round round it is plumed. mine is mounted in front of the rad. can post up some pics if you like, it was on an 2.1mv but the theory is the same.
