1.9TDi AFN engine, any good for a conversion?

Post by jotto »

Hi there,
Been looking at T4 forums but wondered if the 1.9 AFN TDi engine would be any good for a T25 conversion.
Basically, we have a complete '99 Sharan, 106k miles that has osf damage but is now a Cat C insurance write off!
Runs and drives and has 6 month MOT! lol.

Wondered if the engine and box etc would be of any use to fellow VW owners.

AFN is a good choice but I don't know about the specific variants , golf, passat, sharan etc...iirc AFN block means make your own engine mounts, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to confirm that

£500 drive it away! ( not legally because of the lights but you know what I mean! lol )
