more 2.0 L info needed please

Post by further »

I am about to do a 2.0 L golf conversion on my 89 2.1 bus. The 2e , ady, and agg are available here as
jap imports, what are the differences between them and which is the best in this application. Are they all long blocks. Do they all use the same
FI systems, I have a mp9 ecu to use, is it compatible on all of them.
There are no diesel vans here to use for the conversion bits, sump etc. so does that mean that the engine must
sit at 17 deg as in the golf to avoid oil pump problems.
There is a good eng shop that make up the adaptor plate, flywheel and carrier bar here so I m ok there.
Thanks will appreciate your input. :)
