you wont be able too just put a manual box on your engine, the fly wheel that that you have installed will be for an auto box, you will need a new one made, it may ne worth getting n touch with a silverbullit (ian) as he has mine, but not for much longer as it will be going in to my van in the next week or so.

should be starting it next weekend, work permitting,(weather as i have a roof to do) been working in the garage, preping stuff, jobs left too do.
change the cam belt and tenshioner
refit the manifold ect
fit the altinator (new belts etc)
set up the dizz
clean the crank case breather, in case you did not know this is a sevice item, if it blocks up you can blow the main oil seals
in stall the oil cooler take of plate from a b230ft (740 turbo) just waiting on some part to come in from sweden
refit the moded sump ian welded in a boss in to the sump for me in to which the oil temp sender will go so i can keep an eye on things
then go and pick up the engine mounts etc which ian has made and had plated for me. gold goes so well with blue i think.

Could I just ask about the Vlovo engine you have used? I have a V70 with a 2.5 in it, is it the same engine as that?
Also although I admit to not reading the links you have posted very carefully, is this basically an adapter plate to fit the T25 manual gearbox (with some other small bits that are needed)?
And one more, does the swap give you a lot more power for a comparable miles per gallon, or even better?

Thanks for the thread and info

Your engine is not the normal one to fit but any thing is possible, the normal one to install are from 240,740,and 940, the come in 2.1 and 2.3l and range from 113 bhp up to 180bhp in standard form, all engines have good torque curves and are very tuneable with not much expense, but they are an umber strong engine and should be good for 300,000 miles plus. With out any major problems. They are know as a b21/b210 or a b23/b230 lots of information if you look around the internet, as for the economy I am hoping for around 25mpg which is better than my 2.1 mv engine, but I am guessing at the moment, I am sure the Joe will be able to give you a more accurate figure as he has had his for a while now, so come on Joe have you figured out what sort of return you got on you trip?
