switch fried, replacement sought

Hi all,

I have an lpg conversion installed by a previous owner.

The system operates with a switch on the dash which on the right is gas and left is petrol, with the middle used to run the petrol out of the carb before switching to gas.

This morning, the switch threw out some smoke and is clearly knackered, with the green light for lpg no longer showing. Luckily, the red light and petrol position is fine so I can still drive the van.

The system is at least 7 years old and the one garage I found in Cornwall (i'm down here on hol at the moment and heading back to Manchester shortly for what looks like double the price!) that deals with lpg said they use different switches.

Does anyone know of where I can source older style switches from?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers guys very much appreciated.

The carb switch on ebay looks like the right sort of thing but pic looks like it needs some wiring which I don't fancy so maybe a trip up to Chester to Gasure is in order!

I'd be looking into why it fried before fitting another one.

I have recently had a similar problem and am having a switch (plus wiring loom) sent from MSS Autogas Centre, Mickleton - http://www.autogasuk.ws/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (ask for Alistair). They deal with Emmegas and Tartarini systems. Might be worth trying if you have no luck with Gasure.

Cheers,
Donald.
