Hi Peeps... thinking about an LPG conversion, just bought a 1990 1.9 petrol runs beautifully, just wondered if it would be okay going for the conversion the way things are or should the engine be overhauled first , and if the engine is not overhauled what would the risks/implications be??

Many thanks.

If it's running 'beautifully' now then the only implication is that it'll run beautifully and 1/2 price .... so you'll probably use it far more

Hi
had my 1.9DG converted on Tuesday - its brilliant! The additions to the engine bay are placed out of the way, so even if you had to remove enging in future, the LPG set up stays put - and its easy to separate!
Do it! you know it makes sense!
Will post pics wehn I get sorted (just got home from Camperjam/hols!

Yep, inlet manifold unscrewed, supported in place. Engine dropped down and out, new one under and up, manifold on .. away ya go.

Simples.
