I shall now be mostly riding on trains all morning, to collect the SA from Gasure :D

Phew! That was a long day in the saddle, what with the M6 traffic and returning via Gloucester to pick up a fridge!
Filled up 'round the corner from Steve's, did 155 miles keeping it legal, then filled up at Somerfield Cirencester...63.9 per litre...
33.4 litres or 7.35 gallons in old money which means 21 mpg. Not bad for a 2.6 with a patched up exhaust :roll:
Considering this was "mixed" driving with poor traffic at the start, on a tight open-loop lpg system, I hope that will improve once it's all bedded in. Otherwise find some more pennies and upgrade it to closed-loop, when a new longlife stainless exhaust will allow a lambda tapping to be fitted.
Only broke down once, in the M6 queues! Sudden death due to a loose battery cable...I mean, really, Steve! :rofl

Glad you are happy, mpg not too bad for a first set, equivalent to around 42mpg, as we always bring it back to what it would have cost you in petrol, as for the battery, I'm not sure why that was loose, we certainly did not have to disconnect it for any reason, but hey as long as its all fine and you are happy that is what its all about.

I do apologize Steve. I've never changed the battery either...all in a day's motoring. It did give me a heart-stopper when all the lights went out though! Luckily I was in the nearside lane so I just put my shoulder to it :wink: I think I may have pulled a muscle or two in the panic...
Do you think the mpg will improve as the gas valve beds in? I'm looking around for a quality used CO tester to get that 2.3% you mentioned.

Yes but don't go changing much yet, you need to run that vaporiser in first, then you can start adjusting hte system to give you the best out of it, as always if you can stand a little loss of power then you can screw it down quite a bit to gain more fuel economy.

So your tank at 52ltrs x 80% = 42ltrs or a range of 196 miles, that is better than some 2.1 flatties do.

I never though that I would get to 1000 posts :D
I've had the odd hiccup when pulling away cold on petrol (still gettin used to the procedure) and the bus has a tendancy to stall as it changes over / when I go from first to second. I guess this is due to the system components still being a bit tight? Or is it me?

Well that's the first 600 miles done :shock: and I've got used to the LPG pump, standing there, leaning nonchelantly on the button as it fills 8)
Now I'm thinking that maybe I should do an installer's course and "branch out", starting with our other bus (DG) before looking at the Scoob...that should be interesting.
