gas smell

Post by rubyvan »

Hi
I have a 1.6 td engine in my van, we have just put a recon engine in and there is a gassy smell in the van. I have checked the obvious, the lpg as the van is a westy atlantic and it appears to be normal, the smell seems to go away when the heater fan is on. Does anyone have any ideas as what it may be.
cheers
steve

check all the connections , either with soapy water and a brush , but remember to clean it off after or with a can of gas leak .
failing that , run it across to gasure and ask steve to check it over .

another thing does it smell if its turned off at the tank ?
