Due to high demand...
My local LPG supplier has put prices up from 38p to 48p, with more to come I'm told
When I asked why, he said the wholsalers are having to pay more to the manufacturers as LPG demand is very high due to the weather.
As our fuel is not regulated like the other stuff, I guess it's inevitable that when demand begins to outstrip supply, the term 'over a barrel' springs to mind.
Still he was chearfull when saying the price would "plummet in the spring, just when you lot get out"

Strangely enough, my regular fill ups on the A14 have been empty recently and I have struggled to even get lpg. Been paying 56p locally!

AN excuse.. the UK exports most of its LPG as it uses naff all of it...
Just think about all those burning flames on oil rigs and at the terminals etc... I wonder if they have to pay a carbon duty on it.... what a complete waste of energy.........

Bulk gas prices are still at 52p/l so anywhere near that and its not bad, over and they are making profit, we pay 45p/l here in North Wales so our company is selling at a loss but I'm sure they profit from something else to make it up.

Aye, we pay 47.9 at the Shell and I've seen the profit being made ... by watching all the muppets paying 99.9 for the Diesel.

That flame is there as a safety precaution, if there is a problem the gas is led up there and burned i stead of blowing the platform up. The flame has to be there to immediately ignite the gas so it don't leak out. And yes, the do pay for the emissions.
