hiya,

anyone know owt about builbing an electric car?

starting a project based on a fiat 500 or cinquecento.....
dg 1.9 14" syncro Fire engine/camper.

Lot of effort for little reward.. 500 wont have any space for batteries Cing would (was an electric version in italy)

will it be poss to re reg as alternative fuel and get free road tax and congestion?
find an old leccy milk float...

Cheers for the link Rob, there's even a t25 on there!

Searching for a milkfloat as we speak... I'd like a better motor but new they're not cheap (£1800).

Also revised my car desires to a peugeot 106/ 205..

Rewards will be ample, about £160 a month for my commute (includes charging and battery replacement), currently wearing out my syncro gas guzzler on that run.

No tax, electric is cheap compared to petrol, work are happy to let me top up the batteries whilst I slave for them... All good :D

If I don't find a motor before august I might make an electric moped to tide me over, a lot cheaper to set up but a bit slower and damper...

That is interesting reading but the T25 had only a range of 40 miles if you read it! Handy for communting but thats all, fancy going on holiday somewhere in it!! :lol: Brilliant to see it done very well though! 8)
