lpg and ignition timing

Post by ermie571 »

I have read the wiki pages (thanks team) but have a couple of questions on timing and LPG. The wiki give details for the 2.1 and 1.9 - we have two engines, the 2 lt a/c and the 1.9 carburetted, not injected. Both run on gas. :D

what should the timing be? Are the vaccum pipes critical on the lpg conversion, or are thy just for petrol? :?:

Thanks very much
Emma

The 1.9 is as per the Wiki, leave it alone basically or get someone who knows what they are doing to advance it for you, the 2.0ltr air cooled should not be adjusted from standard, the AC engine works in a very different way than the waterboxers, any more advance than standard and you will burn the engine out.

Steve,
thanks very much - I will leave the timing at standard! That is all I needed to know.
Cheers indeed, :D
