lpg adapter for westy - is mine standard

Post by bobbabawbag »

Got a westy club joker 1983 with the lpg tank for fridge and cooker. I was under the impression that i needed a converter from threaded to bayonet fit to fill up in this country - when i bought it the tank was full as the guy had just filled up in Belgium. I got an adapter a 1"3/4 ACME to bayonet as i thought this was for a westy but this will not fit. My van has a hexagonal bolt with a screw thread inside probably 22mm diameter.
Is this a standard westy lpg tank?
Which adapter do i need?
Cheers Bob

Standard joker gas connection is the ACME , the small threaded fitting might be the old french/italian fitting, adaptors can be found HERE
or try the Steve Gasure on the LPG forum
