your way reads a lot quicker. I tend to get carried away sometimes

Did I mention that for best results the tape should be bright yellow with black markings and you should wear trainers to prevent doing 'the splits' on larger circles?

I also have a couple of sets of these, using the bit on the left you find the centre line every time do it twice found the centre!

For larger circles use a compass or a piece of string and a pencil/chalk

Stick one point of the compass into one point on the edge of the circle and then set its width so that the other end of the compass just touches the furthest side of the circle. Now draw a half circle (or sligthly bigger) with that setting. Swap ends of the compass and draw another half cirle. The two half circles will cross each other at opposite ends. Draw a line from one of these crosspoints to the other and you now have cut your original circle in half.
Repeat the whole maneuvre at 90 degrees and where your second cross section meets the first is the centre of your circle.
