hi all ,

dont know if im posting in the correct section here but i have a question i hope somebody can help me with.
i need to buy a valve spring compressor to strip down some cylinder heads on an engine im rebuilding and wondered ,is there a special type i need to buy or wil a general run of the mill valve spring compressor do the job. any help as always greatly appreciated. cheers mel.

You need one for recessed valves something like this.

thanks for the replies peeps, jut got to get one ordered from the bay of fleas now and hope thers nowt else wrong with the rest of the engine.bloody expensive this rebuild malarky.sometimes i think i would have been better just buying a recon jobby but then at least i know it'll be done right with good quality parts not the crap i hear you good people talking about all the time. wish me luck its my first attemt at this
