I need some engineering works in bedfordshire.

Post by clartsonly »

I am hopefully removing my engine this weekend and then I really need someone to drill / tap and helicoil where necessary. does anyone know

1) who might be able to do this in bedfordshire / cambs, I am near sandy / gamlingay.

2) how much it will cost?

it is going to be at least
7 exhaust holes,
2 tin works holes
and probably two thermostate housing holes.

I was thinking about simply drilling out and then aralditing the studs back in, but I think that is a bit pikey - if I am spending hundreds on a new exhaust.

Thanks

can you not buy a helicoil set we used one at work a while ago you just drill hole bigger tap it out screw in helicoil and its done. helicoil is threaded opposite way round so it stays in. does that make sense?
dont fix it if its not broke cos after you finish it will be!

yeah I was considering helicoil myself but the kit is quite a lot and if it is only £50 or something to get a man to do it then I would prefer that.
