Hello everyone,
been watching some vans for sale in my area, and spotted this one, 83'' pop-top. it has 1.6D engine, 4 gears, and has made 160 000 miles
can anyone recognize it as being original westfalia or a conversion? I havent seen the pop-top mounts like these before..
other than that the body doesnt look too bad and the price's quite low.
It goes for 1300GBP,

Re: identifying a van (with pics)
could be, or could be a swapped over, the roof rack brackets on the pop top are westy style, the windows are too, but without seeing the white sticker with the type number, and the m codes, there's no way of knowing for sure, westys are 253 xxx. 253 is kombi and all westys built on kombi shells, if it's a 255 xxx then it's a velle that's been converted subsequently possibly using westy parts. Whatever for the money that's a lot of van
