just a note of thanks to all the guys and gals out there who contribute to this forum and give people like me the confidence to have a go.i'm no mechanic but had stalling and running problems[pierburg 2e3] so stripped it down,cleaned it,regasket ,fired her up,perfect,couldnt have dun it without this forum.

Couldn't agree more :ok

I bought my van with no idea what it really was, but thanks to lots of help from people on here, I'm keeping it :wink: (my bank manager says I have to)

yep,steep learning curve, but loved every minute of it,have to get used to it to keep these babies on the road.i find 2 hours working on the van and 1 on the beer works well

Jeez, I'm well behind you on the learning curve then; I work on 2 hours of beer then get someone to look at the van :wink:

I love my van & was very lucky with the one I bought, I think.... Never been one for "bog standard run of the mill" vehicles and this suits me fine. Yes it can be a pain at times, wouldn't it be nice to be able to just run it into the local garage.....

But it's so much nicer to know that you can just put a bit of gear in it and disappear for as long as you want :ok
