need a good garage near dumfries

Post by damongrounsell »

Hi most of the talk on this forum totally foxes me so I need to know of a good garage near dumfries who does understand why my 1.6TD is losing oil, and won't rip me off when he finds out. Any VDub specific garages in the area?

Hello! Sorry, I don't check this forum very often. But if it's not too late I would avoid Solway Beetles like the plague, and instead contact a garage called John Black at Catherinefield Industrial Estate in Heathhall. He has been looking after my van since I got it in May and I'm really pleased with the work he's done so far. Seen a couple of other T25s there. Mine's a 1.6TD too.

Wee bit of a treck, but I'd recommend David Mylett in Thornliebank near Glasgow (0141 621 4411).
Oof!

if its like mine, its from the head gasket.

explain in what way is it losing oil, is it leaking, or burning, or disapearing without a trace?
